Black Power
Black Power The two American men have raised their hands to show the power that they have gained for their race from winning in the Olympics. The image is very moving, it is similar to a non-violent protest in the way that it gains publicity and supports equal rights. In light of everything I know about segregation in the 60's, I am proud of the American men in this photo as they knew the risk of what they did - the consequences included. What's it like for a black actor for the past 50 years? Black people where seen as weak for many years.
